Community Partner/Prevention Practitioner Eligibility
SPR defines a community partner/prevention practitioner as an individual who collaborates with prevention researchers and/or whose primary professional role is to implement or coordinate prevention-focused programming at the community/local level.
Community partners/prevention practitioners:
- Are not currently employed as researchers or evaluators,
- Do not primarily perform research- or evaluation-related duties as part of their job
- Are not employed by a research-focused organization or university
- Are not employed by a federal government agency
Examples of professional roles that meet this designation include community coalition coordinator; school prevention specialist, teacher, or administrator; community health worker; state extension agents/educators.
